There’s nothing more depressing than stumbling across a 15 year old girls tumblr. Especially when they’re posting photos of themselves posing provocatively in their messy bedrooms. You really feel like screaming at them.

Dear young teenage girls. If you feel the desperate need to get validation and attention by posting dodgy images of yourself surrounded by bathroom debris or dirty underwear strewn about the floor, just take a moment to think before hitting the “send” button.

These images will be around on the net for years to come. Everything you post will be there for all to see long after you’ve matured and moved on. Even if you immediately regret posting a photo and hit the delete button, you can’t take it back. It’s out there on the net. Once you’ve posted, that’s it, you no longer have any control whatsoever over who uses the image or who sees it.

There are other ways you can feel better about yourself. Ways you can validate yourself without getting cheap attention from total strangers that will only see you as a piece of meat without seeing the person underneath. Yes for a little bit, you’ll feel better about yourself, but later on, as the comments intensify, the sense of guilt and cheapness can sometimes be overwhelming. Posting crap, dodgy photos of yourself in skimpy clothing surrounded by dirty clothes isn’t the best way to go about it
